POCAHONTAS MUSIC: THE OFFICIAL EDITORIAL

The Official Record of Pocahontas Music.

Who is Pocahontas Music? We’re glad you asked—because if you haven’t heard her name yet, it’s only a matter of time.

Pocahontas Music is not just one of the most accomplished young women in the music industry—she’s a force of nature, a 2x cancer survivor, a multi-genre recording artist, a powerhouse ghostwriter, a business mogul, and a relentless advocate for change. Harmonic, versatile, and brimming with soul, her music touches hearts while her story shakes foundations.

Her lyrical genius, radiant spirit, and unmatched resilience make her one of the most important voices in today’s music scene. While she may not yet be a household name, her fingerprints are everywhere—from Billboard-charting hits to viral film placements and life-changing community initiatives.

Behind the Name: A Legacy in Every Syllable

Pocahontas Music is her real, legal name—a name rooted in heritage, identity, and strength. Far from cultural appropriation, her name reflects her multiethnic background: African American, Dominican, and Native American. “Pocahontas” was a name given to her in childhood, one that stuck, one that became her. And fittingly so—because like the legendary figure, she walks her own path, bold and unapologetic.

The Pen Behind the Platinum

Pocahontas Music has ghostwritten hits for superstars like Rihanna, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, and Christina Milian. She’s worked under elite banners such as Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, Interscope, and Columbia Records (where she also scouted talent). Whether she’s crafting anthems for chart-topping celebrities or giving voice to independent artists, her pen bleeds gold.

Her sound? A seamless fusion of classic R&B with pop, jazz, hip-hop, rock, and soul—rich, raw, and uplifting. Intelligent lyrics and emotional depth define her work. But behind the scenes, it’s her story that inspires even more.

The Warrior Within

Diagnosed with two malignant brain tumors, Pocahontas Music spent five grueling years battling brain cancer—twice. She’s endured chemotherapy, epilepsy, and Trigeminal Neuralgia. Yet she still stood. Still sang. Still created. “It was a hard time for me and my children,” she says. “But I’m very thankful I’m still alive.”

And in that fight, she found her voice—stronger, sharper, louder than ever.

Building a Creative Empire

In 2013, she launched her own record label, R.M.M.I.A. Industries (Real Made Me In Action), followed by the VILD brandVision, Inspire, Live, Dream—which evolved into a multifaceted creative empire. Through VILD, she built:

VILD Songwriting Agency – Ghostwriting and artist development

VILD Network – A full-scale music marketing & promotions company offering radio placements, press, podcasting, and more

VILD Star Shoes – A custom men’s and women’s fashion line

VILD Network Magazine – Her official media and publication outlet

VILD Film Productions – A platform to produce and distribute her own visual content

She even developed a FREE social media platform for rising artists to collaborate and gain exposure—democratizing the industry, one voice at a time.

And she didn’t stop there. She launched Pocahontas Premium Stores, an online beauty and lash brand, and founded the nonprofit DonatingHelps!, a charitable organization dedicated to community healing and empowerment.

From Background Actor to Spotlight Visionary

Pocahontas Music isn’t new to the spotlight. She’s graced the Disney Channel, appeared in commercials, and acted in film and television through agencies like Liquid Talent, BNA Group, Barbizon, Alima Industries, Studio NinetyTwo, and Starz2Be. A lifelong performer and creative, she brings lived experience, raw artistry, and a business-savvy mindset to every project.

And musically, she’s a one-woman band. She plays instruments, writes complete songs in minutes, and effortlessly moves across genres—from EDM to jazz, rock to soul. Her music is broadcast on FM/AM stations and streaming platforms worldwide.

Music with a Message

“I just want people to know not all singers like me want fame; we just want loyal fans to enjoy the music we make, because music is our gift,” Pocahontas shares. Her podcast “When an Edible Hits” blends real talk with humor and introspection, while her every lyric, post, and beat spreads a message of survival, love, and belief.

Because when you’ve been through hell and back, you don’t sing for fame—you sing for freedom.

Survivor. Mother. Innovator. Icon.

Pocahontas Music is the oldest of six children. She overcame a childhood marked by abuse, neglect, molestation, and trauma. From those ashes rose a woman of unimaginable strength—a mother of three, a champion of justice, and a soul whose every step has been earned.

“I will never give up,” she says. “And I will keep pushing until I achieve my dream.”

In a world of superficial fame and fleeting virality, Pocahontas Music is a beacon of substance, purpose, and true artistry. She’s not waiting to be discovered—she’s building the world she wants to live in.

And if you don’t know her yet, you absolutely should.
